Area Attractions
Nestled in the heart of the Cascade Mountain range, Lost Creek Lake is just a short drive from Oregon’s most famous landmark, Crater Lake National Park. Tagged one of the “seven natural wonders of the world” by the National Geographic Society, Crater Lake is only an hour and a half drive from our front door. Shrouded in ancient Native American lore, to stand on its magnificent cliffs is most definitely a mystical experience you will never forget.
The Upper Rogue river is a well-known rafting area. Several rafting companies in the area offer raft rentals and the float between the Lost Creek Dam and Shady Cove is very popular with mild class one and two rapids.
If you are looking for a change a pace, we recommend a day in beautiful Ashland or historic Jacksonville. Both are within a two hour drive and feature antique shopping, trendy restaurants and quaint hostels. The world famous Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland is open February through October, and features the only outdoor Shakespeare stage in the continental United States.
